Form & Finish New Bedford Concrete, concretenewbedford.com, office@concretenewbedford.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Form & Finish New Bedford Concrete website, from the home page on, and any estimate or work you ask us for. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them, so if you don't agree, please don't use the site or book with us.

When you and Form & Finish New Bedford Concrete sign a written agreement for your job, that agreement controls wherever it differs from these terms.

What we do

Form & Finish New Bedford Concrete is a concrete contractor in New Bedford, MA. We pour and repair flatwork, which covers driveways, patios, sidewalks and garage floors. We also build steps, retaining walls, footings, foundations and other concrete work. You can read more about our crew on our about page.

The descriptions, photos and general information on this site are there to help you understand the work. They aren't a promise that a given method, finish or result fits your property, because every property is different until we've seen it.

Estimates and pricing

We give free estimates at your property, and there's no pressure to book. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, like the size of the slab, how much old concrete comes out, the condition of the subgrade, which is the ground the slab sits on, access for the truck and the finish you pick.

An estimate isn't a binding price until we both sign a written agreement. If we find something once the job is open that we couldn't see before, like soft ground, buried debris or old concrete thicker than expected, we'll stop, explain it and agree on any change with you before we do the extra work.

Any price, range or example on this website is general information, not a quote for your job.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set a start date when you book, and we'll tell you if it has to move. Rain, freezing temperatures or hard heat can push a pour back, because pouring in the wrong conditions makes a weaker slab.

Delays from weather, material supply, permits, utility marking or anything else outside our control aren't a breach of our agreement, and we'll reschedule with you as soon as we can.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. Your written agreement will say what happens to any deposit and to materials already ordered, and nothing in these terms takes away a right to cancel that state law gives you.

Payment

Your written agreement sets the amount, any deposit, when payments are due and how you can pay. Final payment is due when the work in the agreement is done, even if the concrete is still curing, which is the wait before you use it while it gains strength.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's caught up, and we may charge any late fees or collection costs that the agreement allows and the law permits.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything buried that you know of, like sprinkler lines, drain pipes or septic parts. Your written agreement will say who gets any permit the job needs.

After the pour, please follow the care instructions we give you, because walking or driving on new concrete too soon can damage it. Damage from skipping those instructions isn't our responsibility.

Warranty and what concrete does

We stand behind our work, and satisfaction is guaranteed. Any written warranty for your job is in your written agreement, and it's the only warranty we give. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no other warranty, written or implied.

Concrete can still crack. We cut control joints, which are grooves that give the slab a chosen place to crack, but hairline cracks, small color differences and minor surface wear are normal and aren't defects. Damage from tree roots, ground we didn't prepare, changes to drainage after we leave, loads heavier than the slab was built for, chemicals or misuse isn't covered.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Form & Finish New Bedford Concrete isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost use of your driveway, lost income or lawn and landscaping disturbance that the work reasonably requires. Our total liability for any claim about a job won't be more than the amount you paid us for that job.

We're licensed and insured, and nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't let us limit, such as for gross negligence or for injury caused by our crew.

The information on this website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's complete or current.

If we disagree

If something about your job isn't right, call us first and we'll come look at it, because most problems get settled on site.

If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Any lawsuit will be brought in a Massachusetts state court serving New Bedford, unless small claims court is available and either of us chooses it.

Which law applies

These terms and any work agreement with Form & Finish New Bedford Concrete are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. For jobs in Rhode Island, Massachusetts law applies except where Rhode Island law sets its own rules for work done there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time by posting the new version on this page. The version in place when you sign a written agreement applies to that job, and if you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
